Did you know……

  • In 2019, 6.9 per cent (or 47 million) children under 5 were affected by wasting, or acute undernutrition, a condition caused by limited nutrient intake and infection (un.org).
  • Around 12 million children in South Africa live below the poverty line, and 4.4 million households in South Africa do not have frequent, reliable access to food.
  • Hunger, poverty and lack of access to effective education means that millions of caregivers are unable to provide for their childrens healthy development and education.
  • A guaranteed meal served at school incentivises impoverished caregivers to send their children to school. When a child stays in school, their ability to generate future income and build a livelihood is increased.

Footprints of Kindness has partnered with some amazing charities in Australia and overseas to donate meals to children and their families.

Thanks to Child Fund Australia* and the Lunchbox Fund, we are able to donate meals to those who need them most.

*Childfund is an independent non-profit organisation that works to reduce poverty for children in many of the world’s most disadvantaged communities.
